The short visit to Hampi was special to me, as it was my second visit. Actually  eight years before I visited Hampi with my school friends at first time . But my friend Murali has not visited Hampi before.

Hampi is a home to many ruins and great historical temples. This is one of the few places in India to see ruins. Hampi is prime tourist attraction and a UNESCO world heritage sight. Hampi which is basically Vijayanagara Dynasty is now can be seen as ruins.

Hampi is located in north Karnataka and situated on the bank of Tungabadra River. It is a Capital of the Vijayanagara Empire from 1336-1565.

When in Hampi, in any direction you look, you can find a monument, gleaming with glory. It is more like open museum. You will see history in each of the numerous stones scattered every where.

" One thing we realized while seeing Hampi was that is Impossible to see Hampi in a day"
