One day Trip to Mallelatheertham Waterfalls

Mallelatheertham Waterfalls

            After Ramdan Festival we are Group of friends Azam, Mujeeb, Ejas, Chand, Afzal, Mujahid, Gouse started searching for a tourist destination which is near to Gadwal and which should be one day trip for weekend enjoy between us. after discussion finally we decided to go to Mallelatheertham Waterfalls and Amrabad tiger reserve point. 


           We started our journey on 10th July 2016 at 6:30 pm from Gadwal on four wheeler vehicle. In this throughout day journey we are blessed with perfect climate. The sun hid himself behind the thick clouds and it was perfect weather which we seen just before it rains. 



             After 28 Kms of journey we take a break for Breakfast in a hotel at Pebbair. We started our journey through Wanaparthy,  Nagar kurnool, Achampet and reached Munnanur. It is a good spot for take a break for tea and also there is a check point to entry in to forest area. After 25 km of journey we arrived at Vatavarlapally village and we ordered food for lunch.

Mallelatheertham Waterfalls:


           Mallelatheertham Waterfalls is 8 Km away from Vatavarlapally Village as well as 58 Km away from Hyderabad. You will have to get this place through muddy and uneven roads. Mallelatheertham Waterfalls are located in the Nallamalla Forest in Mahabunagar Dist,Telangana State. River Krishna flows through this forest.


" Mallelatheertham  is one of the best place to enjoy nature and forest  and the view of nature was good, we took some snaps and had fun "

             Once  you reach this place you need to get  250-350 feet down on stairs to access the waterfall. After reaching this place the Important thing is you should be very careful at this place like down stairs, while trek into the rocks and way which is beside of waterfall. because it is very slippery. If you have careless attitude then you have to face many incidents.

                    There is a toll before u need to get down the waterfall stairs. They collected Rs.10/- per head and Rs.50/- for our vehicle and entrance time is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This waterfall is 150 ft height and it has picturistic srroundings,scenic beauty for tourists as well as it is a best picnic spot.



The water culmination of flow of small streams flowing from different parts of Nallmalla forest area. The fall of water takes place from a wide rock.  when the water falls from full width it looks like a water curtain. 

" Best time to watch this Mallela theertham Waterfalls  is October to March." 




                   There are other activities that can be taken up to make the trip more enjoyable and exciting is River crossing, Trekking, sliding are a few such activities. Tourists who come here generally combine their trip with the Srisailam Temple and Umamaheshwaram visit and make the entire trip is a one day trip.

                Afternoon we returned to Vatavarlapally village and had Lunch in Ruchi Restaurant. The food which is already ordered by us before we leave this village.   Alter lunch we spent more time along the roads and beside the forest area to enjoy the nature in cloudy climate.

                            We waited a hour at Tiger Project Point to see the animals in the forest but badly entry was timed out. their authority was not accept to visit that forest area. In this point they collect Rs.800/- per 6 members and they show a small one hour trip in their forest vehicle. After some time we started our returned journey to Gadwal and we reached around 9:45 PM.
